Hey, I’m Liz Ditty.
I’m a Christian author, Bible teacher, and spiritual retreat director based in the beautiful state of California.
With a heart for nurturing spiritual growth and fostering community, I'm passionate about helping individuals deepen their connection with God and discover the transformative power of prayer, Bible study, and experiencing the goodness of God.
I hold a Master's in Biblical and Theological Studies and over the years I've had the privilege of leading spiritual formation retreats, preaching on Sundays at churches of all sizes, and sharing insights on topics like hearing God's voice, studying the Bible, and becoming more like Jesus. As a trained Spiritual Director I believe the Holy Spirit lives in, and around, and through our stories, and listening to the experiences of others is one of my favorite ways to see the fingerprints of God.
Compassion, empathy, and kindness are at the core of my approach to ministry. I believe that authentic growth happens best within the embrace of a supportive community. We can’t learn (or re-learn) how to love or be loved on our own. While I lead from the heart, I'm all about clear communication and well-reasoned, logical arguments that resonate with the heart, soul, and mind (I’m a bit of a Bible nerd).
Books
Liz has written 2 books- one about listening to a God who is speaking and another about talking to a God who hears us. Nothing has shaped her experience of God or the world like honest prayer, and her writing is an invitation to enjoy the company of God.
